Ok ive had my audi for 3 days now and its going in for the 10K service next week. I what a chip installed and i went to a dealer of giac and one for apr. both said giac will produce more power but the apr is more reliable. my main concern is my warrenty and reliability but get the most out of my car. can any one tell me, for experience, which on i should go with. Their is a 15- 20 hp difference in hp. would that be noticeable. i did a search but could not find a lot of response for owners with the chip install. thanks in advance for the answers. btw i will post some pics tonight its a dolphin 1.8tq manual b6 2003.

There is no reliability problems w/ GIAC they are just as reliable as APR. GIAC is a little more agressive. Get the flashloader from GIAC so you can swithc back to stock and what not, and you will have no warranty issues.

you dont feel hp, you feel torque. i believe hp is for higher top speed?

we all know torque wins races....at least i do.

 

slowb5 has got a point. its the torque you want, unless your racing on the freeway.

Yeah dude there's not that much of a difference, maybe a max of 10hp diff depending on the year of your car
