Default Just hit 100,000

Well I have owned my 01 audi a4 1.8T for about 3 months now and it just hit a 100,000 miles. I have no recordes of what the previoius owner had done to it. Does anyone have any advice on what I should do. I am planning on changing air filter and spark plug wires this weakend. Should I also change the plug wires?? Also should I change the fuel filter. And how can I tell if the timing belt was ever changed. Would that be something the dealer would have on record if I called with the vin number. Once again anyone have any advice on what I should change, still new to the audi world. Oh by the way is the temperature gauge supose to fluctuate. For example once my car heats up the gauge will go to half way then after a while of driving it will go to 1/3 then it will go back to half way. Is that common with audi's or should I change my temp sensor.. Thanks...

The temp issue is most likley the thermostat. Should be a cheap easy fix.

There are no spark plug wires, the ignition coils are over the spark plugs. Use NGK PFR6Q plugs.

The temperature sensor is bad.

Some say if you can read the writing on the timing belt it has been changed.

I have 110K mi on mine now with the original fuel filter.

I had the tie rods replaced yesterday, the MAF ar 87K mi ,
and a wheel bearing at 84K mi.

I had the timing belt done at 84K mi.

Problem is that just cuz you can read the belt text, doesn't mean they changed the tensioner or pully, or the water pump, or any of the other belts. I just hit 70K on my 2000 1.8t and I just ordered the full timing belt kit from PureMS.

If you don't have a CEL don't change the coils.
Platinum plugs last 40K mi. $10 is a good price.

I do have a cel. But I am not sure that my scanner is working properly, because I have scanned about 3 times already and it's allways giving me a different code. So I am thinking of by a VAG..
