Just left AWE with my new chip (GIAC) !!!!
ORIGINAL: badfeet
I also got my GIAC chip done for my ko3 at Imagine Auto in Kansas City. I was wondering, I am upgrading to a ko4, do you know if they offer any deals for the programming since i've already had it done once and i've only had the chip for about a month?

Haha, I was wondering exactly the same thing, especially because I had them solder a socket onto my ecu so all they'd have to do is pop a chip in there, no soldering involved.
1st...... after my morning commute into work I was watching my tach and my turbo seemed to really start spooling-up around 2500-3000 ish.. so I'd have to say 4K seems to be a little high
2nd... as far as trade in on the chip for a K04, yes, AWE offers $200 off the K04 package for your old chip as long as your got it through them

so would you guys say something is wrong because when I'm in 1st gear from a dead stop when I hit about 3000rpm my turbo is right between 0-5psi and then when I get to 3900rpm the turbo spikes to 15-17psi and feels like I just shot a 100 shot of NOS thru my car, is that the way it works with the GIAC chip or is something wrong with my car????????? and no I'm not using the A/c at all
my car was chipped(GIAC) just yesterday at AWE's shop in WillowGrove and it DEFINITLY does not perfornm like that.
I say the boost becomes NOTICABLY more powerful around 2.5K-3K and continues on giving good boost well through 4K.

Aaron, it sounds like something is wrong but I can't seem to put my finger on what would cause that. BTW, you must have ice water in your viens to not be using the A/C.
