whats the average cost of a clutch replcement on a 2.8 A4 quattro. i had mine replaced by the previous owner but i think it was 1) improperly installed 2) it was a cheap clutch and may now be F-ed 3) Someone drove stick in a a sh!ty manner, somebody, i wont tell who.

 

cost of parts or parts and labor? i think labor is like 500-600 ish but i kno a guy who has offered to do it for me, even though my tranny is fine, for 400. i live in bing so if u want i'll hook u up.

 

My friend had his clutch replaced and it cost him $600 for labor and about $300 for the clutch itself.

bloody hell, by the way what state is bing in hiwords. im actually starting to thin ki actually broke the quattro system itself since today teh clutch grabs and everything it just feels sluggish to me for some reason, dotn know maybe im just being paranoid.

 

It's about 8 hours labor plus the clutch.

I got 10 hours in the factory repair manual for a B5 2.8L clutch. Thats for the dealer of course.
