Painted calipers look just fine if you do a good job. I painted mine and added 4rings stickers. Came out quite nice. If I had my time back I would probabaly paint them black instead of the red I used.

I think painted calipers look good if you don't have stock rims. I have the stock 9 spoke sport rims and was going to paint them... then realized that they are barely going to show. I have x-drilled slotted in the front and you can't notice them so whats the point.
