Just picked up my new A4!
I have both Neuspeed and Revo. Revo doesn't have a program for the old AEB engine and I'm running the beta version on my AWM. The Neuspeed 1 bar is decent for the price (I think I paid $199), but you have to send them the ECU (3 days turnaround). My 99.5 is my wife's car with a tiptronic, so the Neuspeed chip was just right.
Now, the Revo stock setting felt much like the Neuspeed chip. However, I have the SPS3 and have turned up the timing (5) and boost (high 5) and can tell you it is a lot quicker than the neuspeed. In other words, Neuspeed is conservative and you will soon want more power. Revo gives you the ability to tune the car yourself.
As far as first mods go, your first purchase MUST include a VAG-COM if you're going to start messing around with your car at all.
