So I want to hear your opinions about boring the cylinder from 1.8l to 2.0l? Tell me why should this be done, good and bad things about this? I will run GT3071R so I want to spool it sooner like 3000 rpm, will I make it or not with boring, also changing pistons with lower compression, rods...? This is just thinking, so please give me some data, maybe some experiance.

So it is better then to run on stock pistons, just lower compression (two head gaskets will do it) and change rods with Pauter rods?

 

would it be ok with no turbo cause i have a 2.8? How would my gains be?

You can bore out to the 2.0, they make stroker kits for it. Alot of people do with big turbos. I cant say on how reliabale it would be.

Stroker kits are the way to go. btw u got pm with more info.

As far as the 2.8, it has thinner cyl walls than the 2.7 and is not safe to bore out. (I have no experience with this but have read it several times)
