k&n air and oil filter?

Default k&n air and oil filter?
i am contemplating buying a k&n air and oil filter for my 02 1.8T. My friend tells me it gives you about 10hp. is that true? and what are the effects of it. Please advise

the kn air filter is a pretty goo mod for the1.8t since the stock box is pretty good . do not use the kn oil filter, stick the the stock audi brand(i forget whats called) but it is highly reccomended

your defantly not getting 10 hp from a new filter...

but it could help you run cooler, and help a little with your gas milage...
