what are the biggest numbers people are getting out of a k03 setup? anyone blowing doors off with the stock turbo?

i guess im trying to figure out what i can get out of my stock turbo, because im too poor/lazey to upgrade... ha

 

i think someone ran like a 267 or 285 horse dyno, on a k03s... with pretty much everything done to the car possible

and the power curve just dropped after like 5500

 

sweet... haha. i think if i could get like 220 awhp i'd be satisfied and stop tuning my car... i just want some good useable power...

 

your air intake temps would be really hot
you would be running the turbo out of its efficincy range all the time

and it would just be smarter to put a k04 on it and have it be more dependable
and probably cheaper

 

definatly go with a K04, the K03 just doesn't cut it....

 

I to am wondering about this. I have the trip-tronic transmission (AND LOVE IT BY THE WAY!!!) And want to do a bunch of stuff to my car. however. I can't put a K04 in without bullet proofing my tranny (And plus it's not cheap to do all that and I don't have a lot of money right now [:@]. So what is the max safe boost levels I can run safely without blowing anything up or damaging the turbo? Thanks.

Actually K04 is the biggest you can go with out having to go level 10 for the trip tranny. If you go BT then you would have to upgrade to a beevier tranny. just so you know Josh... SO go K04 because your tranny will be fine.
