has anyone out there had thier k03 ported and polished...i know a guy that will do it for free and also spray a ceramic coating....will i need to get a chip or remap after doing this...

 

not worth the time/effort on such a tiny turbo.

 

If hes porting the turbine housing for free, you could get ahold of a k04 compressor wheel and k04journal bearing and pretty much have a new k04 for cheap. You might be able to get ahold of the compressor wheel and journal bearing/rebuild kit from here: www.gpopshop.com
You could get away running it with the stock ecu, or get a chip to take advantage of it. Id look into that for sure if someone is willing to do the labor for free.
