im so dang confused. i see all these p6-16 fil;es from giac and big injectors adn the like, and awe seams to sell em all for the entire b5 line, but people say i cant get that setup fro the 01 model with 170bhp. im so confused... if i cant get it, why? does the 01 have slightly bigger injectors stock than the 150 hp engine? i thought all that changed was the internals (not forged now) and the turbo pressure

pc-16 is a chip, you can get your ecu flashed becasuse your DBW, i think the hammer file is for the 01 not sure

you can get either the basic k04 file or the hammer file which is more aggressive, but not as aggressive as the pc16 or J31 file for earlier years, so ive read.

anyone know why that is? i highly doubt its becuase i dont have forged internals, but i guess its possible. it jsut seams wierd. with the hammer file, would i need new injectors?

Just the rods i believe, not the pistons or crank or anything... Email GIAC or AWE tuning your questions just so there is absolutely no confusion. They usually get back to you quickly.. Better yet, call them up... Make sure you have your ecu # on hand when you do that though.

Probably costs less to manufacture and doesnt make a big difference when you have a 150-170hp motor. Nothing to worry about though even if you are near 300hp.. Anything more than that and i would be switching to forged.

Wait, so are you guys trying to tell me that 01+ cars are more powerful from the factory but earlier cars had the advantage when you go mod crazy?
