Did some searching and didn't find too many straight answers so sorry if this has been covered. I have a 05 1.8t quattro. I'm currently APR stage 1+. I'm considering upgrading to the k04 but i have a long time left on my warranty so i don't want to blow it. Are there any options to run a k04 setup with the option of diverting back to stock mode for service? If anyone has any other suggestions I'm all ears. Just looking for a little more power since the 1+ has lost its kick it use to have but can't afford to blow the warranty. thanks guys

 

APR states if u are an existing buyer and u get the K04 upgrade u can have all the EMCS forfree which includes stock programing i think

I read about people having issues with the k04 going out due to backpressure with a stock exhaust. Was this ever resolved or would that be an issue as well?
