Default K04 Turbo on stock software

Im currently running a K04 on what I think is stock software. Although when I went to revo to get my car chipped he wasnt able to load it and claimed there was something preventing him from uploading the software, but I dont know what thats about. Im interested in putting K04 software on it. Is there anything else I should do first? I also want to know which of the K04 files I should use and where I could get it tuned somewhere in New Jersey/New York area?

Um you shouldn't have gotten the k04 with out knowing you had the software. Like jumping out of a plane without making sure you were wearing a shoot and not a back pack. If it is running fine you may have already had the programming on there but I doubt it since the programing for the k04 is not the same as the regular chip software and I dont see why someone would have installed it without a k04. Just find out what the deals is before something goes BOOM!

id rather have a k04 with no software, then a k03 on k04 software... as for choices.. the year and stuff of your car would help

If you have a B4, GIAC is the only one locally supported for the K04

well actually it can go boom.. just depends on what you are running.. this guy is most likely safe but if you were to have lets say, a mbc pushing out 20psi with stock fueling then you're going to be running really lean which will go boom..

but remember, that is just a hypothetical scenario. and if you are doing that then you deserve to have your engine blow

I'm more interested in the part where he's saying that the ECU would not allow the recode.

More information on why or what may be the cause of this would be helpful.
