well actually it can go boom.. just depends on what you are running.. this guy is most likely safe but if you were to have lets say, a mbc pushing out 20psi with stock fueling then you're going to be running really lean which will go boom..
but remember, that is just a hypothetical scenario. and if you are doing that then you deserve to have your engine blow

yea at that point yes.
this guy is most likely runing 6-8psi. and im pretty sure the comptuer can compensate and adjust the mixture accordingly even if he was pushing a bit more.

Let me start by explaing how this happened. I blew my turbo a while back and my local mechanic was able to find a K04 new for cheap so he put it in, but since I wasnt dealing with him directly, I was unaware. As far as the ecu not allowing the revo dealer to upload the software, I have no idea whats up with that. I asked the mechanic and he said he didnt put any sort of lock on it or anything like that. I only found all this out when I decided I was goin to chip my car and I was talking to my mechanic and he told me I shouldnt do it unless I upgrade all the internals etc...So for now Im running a K04 with regular software AFAIK. I would really like to get the software for it, but dont know where to go or how much..

Like I said above......the first step in your situation (I would think) is to figure out why you are unable to flash.
There's something going on there that should be looked into further.
Aside from that, I would say that your situation has to be a first.
Stock (presumably) software with a K04 and no additional internals upgraded.
Don't see many like that.....
