Default Key, searched and couldnt find this one

Ok, so every key that i hae found before hes had the built in remote with the flip out key. I really dont feel like spendin the whole amount for the remote and everything and really just want a spare key. I found this one on E-bay and was wondering if this key would work or if anybody has tried one. 2001 A4 1.8T

i was looking at that too...i don know if it would be able to be coded, so you might just end up with a spare door key , try it and let us know

As far as I know, my car just needs a regular non-transponder key to start. I don't think the immobilizer is activated in the US at least not on the 2000. You still have to have the key cut.

No AUDI dealer is going to do that as a courtesy. Last time I remember they were charging 60 bucks to cut a key.

Just ask the dealer to cut the key separately, if you don't want the remote.
