ko3 turbo question
one of my vacum lines snapped off at the metal part where it connects to the turbo i have a 1997 a41.8t quattro with a stock ko3 i cant tell if where the vacum line connects to the turbo if that connector comes off or if i will need a new ko3 if any1 has a digram of a ko3 or knows what im talking about let me kno thanks
Is it the one that goes to the big bronze thing with the arm coming off of it? (Thats your wastegate). Or is it the one on the housing itself? The one on the housing does come off and I bet you could find another one. How did you snap it?

Both need to be replaced now! The wastegate controls the boost and the line on the housing sends the boost pressure to the n75 and back to the wastegate. Just get some 6mm vac line and replace it.
its not the vacum line going to the waste gate its the other vacum line going into to the turbo so ur saying that piece doesnt come off n i need to replace the turbo? i was in a accident n got the radiatior relaced and drove my car home from the collison place and acouple hours later it started bogging down n i noticed that the vacum line where it connects to the trubo broke off i dono if they over tightened it or what
i also cant tell if the peice was plastic or metal where the vacum line connected to the turbo it looks liek a metal peice that stuck out of the turbo and the vacum line went over it so the metal peice just broke uff n stayed in the vacum line i cant just replace that hole peice?
and yea this is matt's old car if lazyviking wanted to kno car is giving me more problems then anything put 5 gs of work into it alrready just replacing **** n thats for parts i did all the work myself clutch exhuast control arms wheel bearing n now my accident

a) remove the turbo and enlarge the hole and tap it for a new nipple or weld in a new nipple.
b) weld/plug/cap the hole and get a boost source from a the intake manifold.
