L hose
i fixed my L hose and now at WOT my boost spikes at over 23-24 psi. do I need a MBC? anyone out there advise me whether to get the in car or under hood? not worried about the extra $15 but is there any difference in performance? installation? let me know and as always any information is apprecited.
I've seen alot of people here opting for a mbc. Not sure if its a money issue, BUT, I would go for an electronic unit....faster turbo spool, accuracy, etc.
So far as whether to get an engine bay or cockpit unit..I guess it comes down to convenience on making boost setting changes.
Just my 2 cents.

where can i get the electronic version? would that be considered a turbo timer?

BTW, A turbo timer is device used to keep the motor running for a set determined time, after removing the key to allow the oil flowing through the turbo bearing to cool so that you don't cook the bearings, causing the turbo to fail. It's just more convenient using one rather than waiting in a parking lot, idling for a few minutes or so.

do not buy a boost controller. your are DBW 01, you will hit limp more than a veterans hospital.

I can explain in further detail of how to do such. Even provide some illustrations
that wont matter.. you will hit limp anyway. even if you bypass the N75. Problem is , whatever the ECU requests, your map sensor better be within 200mbar of that or you hit limp. and sense a mbc will most likely be off, i would just not get one.
Well, I think he'd keep the boost levels within that 3 PSI of difference
. The advantage of the electronic unit is having a faster spool time and more boost available alot sooner. The difference is felt immediately and is almost night and day, even at stock levels. This applies to any turbo-motor, not just Audi's and anyone who has experience with electronic units as I do will tell you the same.

Yes, i know.. though 3 psi may seem like alot, if you get a sooner spool form the elec say 15psi 100rpms sooner , and its only requesting 12.. well.. im just saying that its know that these audis + MBC + DBW = no good.
RLB6 those electronic units are really pricey bro! compared to a $35 under the hood MBC run with my n75 in order to control the spike. but thank you for the info. if i had that money i would just go BT and forget about overboosting!!!
