how much HP do you actually gain from this mod? I hope its a descent amount considering that it cost 300 dollars

Like they always say on the stock turbo very little, yet when he goes BT he will then see some gains.

You most likely will not see any gains. Intakes are mainly for sound. People have done logs before and after, and intake temps will usually be higher with an aftermarket intake.

IMO a fmic is going to cool the incoming air WAY better than a cai but it's your money.........Looks good BTW!

yea a bigger fmic is a much better upgrade and will help even more with future mods like a k04 or bt, for the 300 you could put in a fmic, i know i did and the gains even with the k03 are amazing

I know I have a modified stock box and k and n and I didnt see a night and day difference maybe 2-3hp but the throttle response is improved and thats all I was looking for.

well the stock air box cools nicely but that ready doesnt help much cause as soon as the air reaches the turbo its heated buy the hot temp of the turbo mixed with the compression. So intake temps dont really affect turbos on the intake side, other then adding to or lessening the heat soak factor.

just becarful with those K & N's that you do not spray to much oil on them they could clog up the MAF
I bought the kit for BT install guys ,the stock intake will be restrective for the BT setup.Filter comes by the kit ,I know K&N's are bad for the MAF. I will swith it to HKS with in 25K .I really feel lots of improvement on the throttle response and the turbo lag.

What's the stock temps ? Can someone with the stock air box send me the values than I can compare it with my set-up.I am thinking to dynod my car this weekend before BT set up.It will give us how my stock engine improved with the CAI and custom exhaust.

See this i dont know about...after do the stock airbox mod there are plenty of ways to make the stock airbox breath ALOT better. Yes a open air will breath more stock but after doing the mods and see what else I could do I could free up the box alot more with it still being totally reversable. But Im happy with what I have.

You would have had to log your car with a vag com before and after the aftermarket intake during like conditions. Conditions vary to much from car to car, and different weather climates.
