Some sort of an intake is MUCH better suited for BT applications. Not for the Cold air persay, but the amount of air.
You may be able to modify the stock airbox to flow more CFM's , but im not sure you will be able to make it flow the amount you want.
If you install and Elim, you can just hose clam a filter on the MAF
