Launch Problems
Well I took my car to the track today. It was my first time racing so I was kinda bad. Whats killing me is my 60 foot times because as soon as I launch the car bogs. my reaction time isnt the greatest either. .828 was my best and 10.8 in the 1/8th. I think some of my problem was the track tho. At the starting line if I was not on the brake I would slowly roll forward and I didnt want to red light. So it was kinda hard to rev it while holding the brake. I dont know maybe Ill stick to road racing..lol
Put your heel on the brake and toe on the gas. I know its not as easy as it sounds, but its do-able.
You want to launch about 3k, and as soon as it catches stomp on it, and get through first as fast as you can.
That sucks the track is not level, cause normally you dont have to worry about the brake if its a flat surface.

just like a line lock
all you gotta do is hold it up a tiny bit to keep the car from rolling its not really difficult

uh, use the ebrake ?
uh, use the ebrake ?
HMmm, 1 hand on the steering wheel, one hand on the gear shift, third hand on the ebrake, somethings not right here.......
I think i'll use my right foot instead.
why does your hand have to be on the shifter???? theres no need to shift the second you start you have more than enough time to go from brake to shifter to shift to second

true, you would have time to make the switch.
I think ultimately I would find a track that is level so I didnt have to worry about it.
I still think I would use my foot instead, but what ever works for each driver is fine. My first gear seems so short, I want to be ready to shift!
