Funny that your sig says you are a "hardcore engine builder" yet do not know what that ticking noise is or how to fix it.

What kin of engines do you build?

but how do I repair the problem. I don't want to make it worse by just using a think a$$ oil. My question is can I adjust the lifters, would that be that best bet to fixing the problem.
If youy build engines you should know how to fix it... A lot of engines have lifter noise, and they run fine.

I build Ford and Dodge motors for a living.. I also build Honda motors for fun.

I know how to adjust the lifters if you read my question its basically asking if an Audi has Hydralic lifters. Which I've already know they do since I posted this.. Which means no adjustment just replacment. which I will do myself. I been working on cars forever, just not anything German. I know nothing about anything EDM
