Check your brake fluid level and also make sure you dont have a brake light out. I dont know about the B7 warning/indicators for sure, but check those things to be safe. If no problems with the bulbs/fluid, just be thankful you have a waranty to use.

Warning light don't just dissapear. If you ever go to the dealer for a regular service have them check the data blocks for the brake light switch and make sure both stages of the brake light switch is activating in the correct order. If it doesn't it usually makes the warning light flash and commonly doesn't throw a fault code.

The red brake light flashing is a simple three wire circuit. Either the e brake is on, the fluid is low in the resivior, or the brake light switch has a faulty signal. A8's always have problems with the light flashing on hard acceleration because the fluid in the resivior goes towards the back and trips the brake light, topping it off fixes that. As for the brake light switch there is two detents inside the switch, they have to activate one after the other or the brake electronics get confused. The brake light switches suck on our cars and they always fail, come to think of it some of them are bad right out of the box, i had to replace the brake light switch 3 times to fix an A6 once. My brake fluid is not at the Max its a little low so maybe the sensor is getting false readings..I do drive fast alot. All have to top it off..Do i put and type of break fluid in or should i just take it to the dealer??
