Who makes a good lightweight track wheel that'll fit an A4? I looked at konig and motegi cause i knew they had track wheels but they dont come in 5x112.

Motegi makes a wheel called the trak lite... and the trak lite 2.

They are extremely lightweight, and very very well priced! You are right that they don't come in 5x112... but guess what? The new Jetta's and the new golfs (when they get here) are 5x112... so you can count on a plethora of new wheel options in the next few months. I'd email motegi, and tell them you have a new jetta... 5x112... and want the trak lites. I bet they've been getting several emails of that nature.

They'll eventually get the picture!

SSR comps are super duper expensive. OZ Superleggeras are decently priced, and Koseis are veery light and reasonably priced, also. Try Tirerack; they have all the weights of all the wheels that will fit our car.

I always thought Motegis were ricewheels. I guess I'll check them out. Thanks for the heads-up, shokington.

Yea SSR's are pretty steep in the $ area. Never heard of Koseis but yea, tirerack was my next stop. Im def lookin for a cost effective wheel since im only gonna be usin em for autox.

Definitely look at Koseis or OZs. Both are light, both are relatively cheap (<240 a wheel)
Nothing that's actually very lightweight is going to be super cheap, because the way you get a wheel to be lightweight is a: expensive materials and b: expensive forging procedures, so yeah. You can save money on tires if you get 16 or 15 inch wheels, but that rules out brake upgrades in the future. I think A8s and Boxter calipers will fit under a 16" wheel, but I don't know. I have mondo brakes that barely fit under 17s. I'm not complaining, though.
