lightweight track wheels?
Here are the Motegi trak lites: 19" are 18 pounds... 17x7's are 14 pounds. They look okay... I'm sure some people would like them.

Here are the trak lite II's... I'd go with these before the original trak lites, on an A4. 17x8's are only 14.5 lbs. Wider wheel, and I think the 6 spoke would look better than the 5 -- as the spokes are pretty thin.

EDIT: looking at them beside each other -- maybe the 5 spoke would look better on an a4... ahhh I dunno. I'm so glad I bought wheels... haha, hardest decision evar!

Those don't look too bad Headshok. Have you seen the Flik Bullet C's? They look pretty sweet but they don't come in 5x112. Man I'm gonna have a hard time deciding on wheels so I'm starting 5 months in advance, it's gonna be damn tough!
Well, like I said above... the wheels I just posted do not currently come in 5x112 either. They might never! But, as the new jetta's and golfs (a target audience for motegi) have 5x112... I would imagine that motegi would start offering the bolt pattern. Motegi IS a wheel aimed at the ricer crowd... so there was no reason to make wheels in a bolt pattern only used by audi and mercedes (and the passat).
But, motegi's arent terrible wheels... some of them are disgustingly heavy... but they have some good looking styles I think. At 14.5 lbs for a 17x8... I'd snag some for how cheap they are. Oh, and motegi is all part of the same company as american racing, and twenty-inches-strong, and... damnit... some other company. Can't remember. Forged wheels maybe? Not sure. TIS has a good rep though, I think.

EDIT: So they don't come in our fitment.
Oh well. I'll pull the same trick that VB05 said he's gonna.
Yeah, it makes sense to harass them about it. a 14 lb 17x8 would be an insane track wheel... and like already mentioned -- people could still use big brakes.
Only thing is... one of the trak lites (I cant remember which) ONLY comes in 4x100... it's like they don't have enough material to make 5 holes. haha, maybe it'd add weight. :P Regardless though... they can come up with something around 14 - 15 lbs.
I actually think the 6 spoke would look good, on a car with a big drop.

Awww, bullshit. That traklite II has big holes for no fvcking reason right where you could re-drill them. Garbage. Oh well, here goes the harassment campaign
Just gotta make sure they make it in something close to the right offset, or else it's worthless, also.
