Line output converter
I know this is redundant but I can't find a solid answer. I have an '01 a4 1.8t with symphony. I have a PAC line output converter. I need to wire my amp I have the power wire under control. I know I can tap the rear speakers in the trunk ( I don't want to try to take out my factory headunit) Do I tap before or after the amp? has anyone done this or know which wires on the speakers go to which on the LOC? colors? Should i tap them by making a T connection? I know this has been posted hundreds of times but they all seem to have b6 and b7's with bose.... I appreciate it if someone who knows can lead me in the right direction.... Thanks!

RE: Line output converter
You tap before the amp for the low level - Check this writeup: http://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec29.shtml

RE: Line output converter
i THINK, regardless of whether or not you have bose, you'll still have low level outputs going to your amp....if you have a harness that looks like this, you don't need an LOC:
in any case, you'll want to tap into the wires BEFORE the amp...i tapped mine using standard t-taps from a hardware store, that's probably the easiest way to do it
