little cracks in engine block

Default little cracks in engine block

i was looking under the engine cover, and i saw that there was tiny cracks in the engine head, is this normal?

i acidentally said block in the subject, i meant head

there around the spark plug, the one nearest to the front of the car.

Underneath the coil pack?..... How the hell can you see down there properly?

What you are looking at is most likely casting flash. It occurs when aluminum blocks and heads are made.

I actually noticed the same thing on my oil pan the other day. I don't think they are anything to worry about. However if I look down to where my sparkies are, it's smooth as anything? Without photo's (which will be tricky to get considering the position) it's a bit hard to give an accurate answer. Sorry dude.
