Are you talking about the upper or lower control arms? Never heard them called "load control arms". Get them fixed you don't want them to fail.

if the ball joint in them fails and comes seperated from any one of the control arms=your audi wrecked on the side of the road and a really pist of you! Replace your control arms, http://www.blauparts.com has a good deal on the kits right now.

Bad things will happen. Think a guy here or on Audiworld had one fail and his wheel ripped off and did extensive damage.

Hey everyone,

How much mileage can you get with new control arms (upper and lower)? Or it's an unsteady thing and can be anytime?

Thanks

Yep you can't really predict it. Usually they start to fail around 70k miles though?

Then how do you check them? Can you diagnose them properly or do you only tell by the noise when you steer?
