Hey everyone,

I have a 2003 A4 and recently, when locking the door the lock light blinks 8 times. I could have sworn that it used to blink once when locking. The alarm beeps once, as always and seems to work fine. I was wondering if this is some sort of code. What do you all think?

do the doors lock and unlock fine ?

if it does.. stop being parinoid

 

This is normal. 8 blinks and a beep means all the doors are locked and the alarm is armed.

Now if the light just goes on steady, then something isn't right, such as a door not closed tightly.
