LOL at getting chipped for $500

and so does every other apr place. and GIAC will give you the option to go back to stock, for $50. i just sold my dv for 80, i've seen them go for cheaper. and WHAT LABOR? they hook up a computer to your OBDII port and upload it in a couple minutes. thats worth 70?
the only thing you didn't get raped on is the price of the chip

I don't care what anyone says,it took Oliver at speed tuning 5 minutes 2 drive my car into the shop, flash my ECU no more no less and drive it out, then a 5 minute test drive. Shipping bent you over, unless it was overnight insured. The important thing is that you feel you got ur monies worth.

Ohhh yes he did, speed tuning woulda been much cheaper,if he shopped around for that APR tuneit woulda been a bit cheaper,if he bought one of the dozens of DV's that have been for sale in the past couple of months,he woulda saver $100,an hour labor?

^^two great opinions from guys w/o first hand experience. I'm happy with my speedtuning ecu flash.
I remember a few people pissed at VVME for whatever reason, but there are many more satisfied than not. I think the guys that have got it figured it outby now remember that the few people complaining mostly had problems with their car before getting it chipped. And no one canjust expect that the ecu flash will miraculously seal vacuum/boost leaks, fix faulty sensors, unclog injectors, eliminate fuelflooding, and improve the performance of their coilpacks. Ifa car is notrunning right tobegin with, theyshouldn't have a reason to believe the chipwillfixit all.It can be tough enough for newbsto diagnose a small existing problem on a 1.8Tif you don't get a CEL (but you should soon), and it can be easy to blame it on the chip when you just spent your $ and are expecting fun out of the box. On a car that is running100% properlyto begin with, thereare no issues with the speedtuningecu flash.

i know there are plenty of happy speedtuning customers such as yourself, but you have to say with those readings and no CEL or flashing CEL (im assuming so because i don't believe hes mentioned it) it was the flash that didn't go correctly. speedtuning should atleast re-flash it on the simple fact that his car seems to, well... be stock
