looks or go fast??????????
I just wanted to get everyones opinion on what direction they would or are going. Personally I went into the performance direction and will continue that until my engine is done. sometimesthough I wish I had a nice body kit and wheels at this point insted of thousands of $ in engine.I guess something has to give.
The answer to the thread title is yes, lol.
If I could only afford one, it would be performance. Sleeper cars rule. But, performance on our car, which would include mods to stop and turn in addition to going fast, are 3 to 4 or even 5 times the cost of modding for looks. The car shouldn't look fast if it isn't. And the car shouldn't be fast if it can't stop or turn. However, on a budget, I can see where some go for looks because it can be done much cheaper. But nothing is more fun than whipping up on a winged body kit car that is bicycle-fast.

I don't consider wheels a "looks" thing. It can be lumped in performance unless you're throwing spinners on or something.
o ya for sure wheels are performance if they are lighter then the ones they are replacing. i remember this talon i saw get dyno'ed, he was putting down 900whp iicr and he had 4 different colors of paint. but it was fast as hell. he didnt care about looks because with that much power the only thing the other guy is going to see if the rear of you car

You own an Audi, it already looks good... First logical thing to work on is performance since they are dog slow from the factory. Once thats up to par, then make it look even better if you want. If you own a 2.8, looks are about your only choice unless you have 4+ g's to lay down all at once.
Of course there are the 2-fers... Lighter wheels, ^as said. Suspension, etc.
