mine used to go in to safe alot like when id unhook the battery but like now it never does i pull it out alot and it still doesnt go to safe

 

maybe our cars are smart enough to realize that there is no need for safe mode. because even if the radio is stolen the theives are not going to return it after they find out that they need a code to get it to work. only thing it does is **** us off

 

lol yea i dont know what the safe mode is really supposed to do

 

yeah i just tried disconnecting the negative and no luck ill check the other stuff tomorrow...my buddy put the DV in while i was working on hooking up the sub so ive always been wondering if he did it right...guess ill see tomorrow

 

sounds like the dv is in there fine if its holding some boost then its probably still good

 

so then boost leak im guessing? i dont know anybody with a VAG in my area so ill probably hafta to bring it to the dealer unless i can figure this out beforehand

 

how long did you leave the batt off for?

guess i can try autoparts FX in the next town over...if they dont have it, it looks like its off to the dealership
