I have a 96 A4 Q 2.8 M/T. like everybody else, when I'm low on fuel, the fuel warning light comes on as well as that annoying BEEEEEEEEEEEEEP! I understand the necessity of it, but if i can get rid of that BEEEEEEEEEEEEEP that would be great. If I can keep the light though that would be nice but if I have to diconnect both to stop the alarm that is fine. So does anybody know how to diconnect the alarm? without hurting anthing else of couse. Thanks.

 

how about u dont let the feul run low so u dont have to hear the beep. or tunr ur music up.

 

LOL. Go buy an old car that doesn't have all that crazy "new" technology.

 

the only way is to disconnect the speaker in the back of the instrument cluster, which would involve practically destroying it because it is soldered directly to the board. I replaced my instrument cluster because the beeping didnt work anymore!

 

The beep is cool, annoys you so you remember. Just keep more fuel in it!?

 

Sell him your old cluster.
