Default Lowering the headrest all the way on a B6 and B7

You may have noticed the B6/B7 headrests don't go all the way to the seat. There is an inch or so gap inbetween. Here's how to fix it...

First bend a small paperclip like this:

Remove the headrests completely. Insert the paperclip in the opposite hole that the button is located. Now cram the headrest down with the paperclip pressing against the metal spring inside.

Pull the paperclip out of the headrest with a pair of pliers.

Much better!

Default Just file it ...

If you have an appropriate file, you can just round-off the top side of the notch on the driver-side post (the one you'd use the paper clip on), and you won't need the paper clip the next time somebody pulls up on the headrest: just hold in the slide-release on the driver-side hole and get the headrest a little 'pound'.
