Adjustable coilovers are a joke and a waste of money!

Are you racing or agressive driving?

I never understood why you would want to adjust the height and lower it with coilovers. I could imagine that once your alignment has been set and then altering the altitude would make it very difficult to get it back to zero. pointless imo. Air ride at least you can align your vehicle to specific pressure and always dial it in on board, f*ck turning wrenchs!

H&R springs and call it a day.

I think I mentioned this before, but some very reputable and highly respected shops/mechanics around here despise coilovers.. mostly for the ride comfort. they suggest i get a nice set of shocks and springs and call it a day. While, I come on this forum.. and many people suggest coilovers. The only upside of coilovers is you can adjust them.. besides that though, I'm told a good combo of shocks and springs are much better in all other aspects

Depends on how you have them adjusted. The lower the harsher. You can do a lot more than adjust ride height with coil overs. You have complete control over weight distribution sort of like air bags. Ive been in several A4's and an S4 with coil overs and the ride wascomfotable except for one that was slammed... Obviously if youre on a budget, a shock spring combo is the next best thing. Too many components with air bags to break (and they do) for me to give up turning a wrench [8D] They are more for show imo anyways.

I am also shopping around for new shocks and springs .. Can anyone sugguest some names? I looked at the link http://www.ultrarev.com/product.php?productid=73541 but they have Eibach Pro-Kit Audi A4 11/2000-2007 (Sedan Quattro 4 Cyl. B6/B7) closest to my car, where mine is b5. Do you think above kit would work for A4 1.8T Quattro, B5 ? Thanks for your suggestion.
