The wires and plastic connector that go on to my MAF were melted and therefore cut. So now I need to figure out a way to splice in a new connector for the new MAF I bought. Will I have to buy a whole new wiring harness?

 

I do not know how much it will cost to buy a new connector but you can do a custom soldering to fix your problem. Just make sure do not damage the maf sensor while soldering. Ask a dealer first if they only sell the connector.

 

Arif you could make your own repair manual with all of your Windows Paint illustrations... I would buy it.
