Default magic sunroof?

Hey guys,

The sunroof is acting up in my 03 3.0. Every once in a while the sunroof moves a little on its own. Not all the way open just a little bit then it moves back.

Is there a ghost in there or is this something the car does to regulate the pressure inside the car?

Thanks!

wow. same here. I have a B6 1.8T and the sunroof likes to open on me too. As far as I've heard, just a dirty switch. But we love our audis.

yeah it was very common on B5's. Take the switch apart and give it a spray with electronic cleaner (from radio shack or something) or lightly rub some steel wool over the contact area.

not a big job.

you can get a elecktronic switch / connector cleaner from RadioShack. It works!

Is the part that needs to be cleaned the dial itself? Do you just pop the cover off and spray in there?
Does it come back after you clean it once?

Thanks guys!
