Magnaflow Muffler Install Complete *Updated*
I just received 2 14851 magnaflow mufflers today. I went to a local shop and they told me that they can't just weld them on and that they would have to bend custom piping to fit the mufflers. I know that a lot of other people installed these mufflers, but I want to know the process they went through and if they had to have any custom piping done. I went to a local shop that works on magnaflow exhausts and the guy told me it would cost $190 for the whole install to bend the custom pipes to fit the mufflers. Is this right? Any help is appreciated.
Update: Got the mufflers installed over the weekend and they look pretty nice and sound is great! = D Will have pics and vid up soon.

Thats kinda pricey for some small amount of steel pipe and welding, buy you can always try other shops. I got an entire custom built 2.5" steel exhaust from the cat all the way back for $150 in cali, so you ask me.
im guessing you have a b6+ because of the dual exhaust and all I can tell ya is on my b5 yes they had to bend some piping for the exhaust. But I live in Va and with my single exhaust it only costed 40... so.. yeah $190 sounds freaking outrageous...
These 14851's are Universal mufflers, so they need some custom job to be done. All you need is 2 bended pipes to be connected from your stock exhaust to your mufflers. I've had the same problem, and also the problem was welding stainless steel to your stock exhaust. But it is not a really big problem. Just search around, i'm sure u got a lot of shops in NJ
