anyone tell me what is included in the 40K miles maintenance? i am coming up on 37,xxx where i am due for an oil change (synthetic) so i figure i should look into the 40K maintenance as well. im not under warranty anymore(an 03)but im curious to what they do at that interval, and if it is worth the $$ for it or jsut have things done as they come?

so it looks like they are just chekcin a bunch of stuff and changing the oil/spark plugs and dust and pollen filter. i already know that my sunroof is off, how important is it to have the whole 40K check if i just instead have those certain things changed, since it is no longer under warranty? the only big concern i have is over changnig the oil, i always make sure that is done, esp with the oil sludge concern.
the car just had the 30,000 mi maintenance done in NOV 06, at 22,xxx miles.

 

Have the oil changed with synthetic.
You can buy the large oil filter, air filter, cabin filter and spark plugs from:

and do this stuff yourself.

 

well i scheduled it, they told me $308 with the synthet oil for the 40K mi check. so screw it. ill have the stamp in my book and itll be good. 2 1/2 hours wait, but i have had my eye on the red TT on their lot these past few months, and maybe ill get myself in it.
