Default Malfunctioning LCD display

The LCD on my gauge cluster (displaying temp, milage, etc) is blank while driving around, EXCEPT for the gears at the very botton (the tiptronic 1-5). The display lights up normally at ignition and I get an "OK" when shifting into gear...the the sucker goes blank.

Did I inadverantly mess with the display settings? I searched around and couldn't find an answer...anyone know?

Quick tell me, so I can get back to the Melrose Place-esqe drama thats unfolding with Arif's big turbo...

You didnt search very hard... There is a button on the bottom of your windshield wiper selector "arm" if you push it, it turns it on/off.

Did you also try using the buttons on the very end of the windshield washer arm/stalk.. They push up or down and selects what info you want to look at. If youve tried all that and have no luck, your fucked and have now joined the club of "Fucked up LCD screen owners that audi will never replace and costs about $500 to fix/replace."

Yeah dude, this problem is about 2 days old and I've been pushing the **** out of those buttons....nada. But everytime I restart, I get the normal startup signals....then it dies. How can it be selective about when it craps out? Could it be a connection or something?

I bought it CPO almost a year ago, original warrenty just ran out last August. Still under extended warrenty, you're telling me they won't replace a busted gauge?
