That sounds like more of traditional LCD problems that Audi's have. They're notorious for having lines on the display fade out, I think it's more rare when they just completely die...although that's weird what you said about temperature varience.

Way to use that search button to dig up this 6-month old thread!

I have a similar problem. When my display is cold all pixels show just fine. But as it warms up some pixels start fading.
On a previous car I had a similar problem and it was fixed by disconnecting the display's ribbon cable, cleaning it then reconnecting it.
Anyone know if this would be practical for Audis?

I have the same problem, It stared w/2 missing lines, now more than half. I'm so mad

if you have a warranty its covered! so cheer up. i replaced mine about a month ago at the dealer. only 50$ deductible.
