Many questions...
Hey guys,
I'm looking into buying a 2002 Audi A4 1.8T AWD. It hads 137K miles, but he just replaced the timing belt, got a new water pump, tencioners, head casket, exhaust casket, and got new tires all at 131k. He's asking for $56000. Yay or nay?

Have to say nay. At $56,000 you can get a new one Okay, I bet you meant $5600. That price seems a little high. If the car is in great shape then it might be worth $4k to $4.5K. I think $5600 is on the high side. I do like that the expensive maitance items have been taken care of. That would add some additional value. Might push it to $5k. Just my opinion.

Do your self a favor & get a PRE Purchase inspection. It sucks when people buy a used vehicle only to find out it needs several thousand worth of work! All that was replaced are normal maintenance items , it DOES NOT increase the value of the vehicle.

M5S5 is correct. I should have been clearer in my statement. If two Audi's are sitting next to each other and one had the repairs done and the other didn't I would consider the "fixed" car as having more value to me with the repairs. In other words less money out of my pocket to repair. Now if the fixed car is $1500 or more than the other I might buy the other car and then do the repairs myself for cheaper.
