You think I'm kidding, man? Why would I waste $147 on a key that isn't cut precisely to deliver more horsepower? I'm going to dyno it tomorrow, the APR technician said he estimated that the increase of such a high-quality key is ~ 26hp.

 

pm auditech79 and ask him if he can tell u how to do it

 

Try putting the key on the dyno.... Maybe IT has 26hp lol

 

I didnt read all the posts but is that not the normal key for the B6??

this is how everyone else gets a new key fob for their car. at least people that search

EBAY: $20 for an uncut key. prices vary

VW Dealership: have their service center cut the key for you for about $30(again, prices vary(and VW is cheaper than Audi))

AUDI ZINE: in the DIY section there is a writeup on how to program your key to your car that takes all of 5 minutes.. i'd post the link but AZ is down right now (the thread is created by 'Neo1130' iirc

 

Sean, I already programmed it. I got pissed that it didn't work according to the tutorial, and so I turned it every way possible and clicked as many buttons as I could. When I pulled it out, it worked.

i am honeycombing mine to lose some weight on it and increase areodynamics. Also, if you hang a purple rabbits foot from it, you get extra 15whp.
