I have a chip, and I also just got a k04, but Im still saving for software, exhaust, intercooler and all that jazz. Since im getting the turbo upgrade in the next few weeks and since i got the Forge Boost Controller for free (basically) im just gonna put it on, i just wont turn it up for now. So back to my question should I pay to have it done, or is it as easy as say my boost gauge?

its pretty easy, i just did mine myself and am pushing about 5 more psi than stock. once you do it once, itll take only 20min to put it back in if you decide to take it out(if its cold)

I personally wouldn't do it at all. My roommate tried putting one on his TT stealth and he gained maybe 2-3 lbs of boost. Just save your money and chip it. I don't think that can be said enough.

I hate when people that don't know anything give opinions. Your friend with a tt steal gained 3 psi because his stock turbos are 9b's they hold NOTHING to redline they are too small. Thats why...not because of the mbc. The mbc works exactly like an electronic boost controller...it adjust the amount of air to the wastegate and decides when it opens...thats it.

theres a chance it wont affect your bosot much becuase the ecu may interfere and adjust other things to compensate for the change in boost pressure.
