The B6's have a 17 gallon tank I believe. If I fill up when my fuel warning light comes on, it usually take close to 16 gallons.

I get about 380 miles per tank, or about 22/23 mpg. (although my computer display says I get about 25/26 - pisses me off!)

When my light comes on I fill up with 13.6 gallons just about and I live in the suburbs. I mean if someone has an USP and want an s4 I'll trade and a deal can be made. I'm going to have to get that checked out becasue I have to fill up almost twice a week. Now the people that say u have a lead foot, I dont drive crazy all the time when I took it slow lets say 40- sometimes 60 (with low rpms) when its open i got 200 to the tank. I thought I wasnt going to make it to the gas station. And hows Insurance on A4's is there a difference if u get and USP prob. not right. Its lower than a S4.

You should actually fill you tank up before the light comes on. The light is just there to act as a reminder. If you drive with hardly any gas in your tank, you can damage your cats. I had to have mine replaced cause my old VW failed smog, and I used to drive my old car down to almost fumes before I filled up. Now I always fill up before the light comes on. Save your cats!

Wow...I have 2003 A4 1.8T stock and I get around 460 miles per tank...I guess thats very good comparing to what u guys get...
Your probably FWD right? They tend to get better MPG for obvious reasons. Thats still amazing that you are getting over 30.
Yeap, I am FWD....but its not really over 30...its more like 25.5 because I believe the tank is 18 gallons

Living in Connecticut brings cold weather and lots and lots of hills and mountains to climb. Probably contributes to the lower MPG
