Minor Accident
alright, do you think a liquid rubbing compound could take out the off colored paint the other car left behind?

Yes, ther is a chance you could safely remove the other cars paint... just use paint remover. It wont hurt your paint, because its under clearcoat... however, you probably have exposed paint of your own, it looks pretty scraped up. I'd go to a few body shops, get a handful of estimates... its 2 panels though... so paint is going to be fairly expensive. I dunno what to tell you, you had an accident, it's gonna cost you to make it right, no way around it. If you can live with a blemished car, sure, use a little rubbing compound, and call one of those mobile dent remover guys (they do amazing work, for cheap), and top it all off with touch up paint.
If it was me though, my car woulda been at the body shop yesterday... I couldnt handle having a nice car, that looked rough.

i dont know if paintless dent repair is the answer. some of those guys can do paint touch up but those panels might need to be completely repainted. tough to tell but its prolly not going to be too cheap
This thread is two years old...
That is f*n hilarious! I was just sitting here thinking of the "minor dent" I had fixed above my left rear wheel last week. The other party's insurance shelled out 1190 clams to fix the "minor dent," and another 830 clams for a comparable rental. OUCH! I could not be happier with the superior work they did. Perfection, IMO. I'm kinda bummed this thread is 2.5 yrs old....I was getting ready to post a pic of my damage...lol
