Hi All,
First off - Many Thanks - This forum has been a great resource for us for a couple of months and with the knowledge & confidence gleened here we just purchased an 04 B6 (replacing a hurricane claimed V6 Passat 4motion).
I have (hopefully) a quick question that could not be answered by searching:
Isn't there supposed to be a plastic cover/guard to protect the battery & such? If so what is the part number for it?

I questioned it there and even looked at other A4s which had one but they were 03s - the A6 & A8s had them as well - One guy said Audi omitted it in 04 and afterwards but I'm skeptical - even my Passat had one and my manual mentions it.
I would greatly appreciate your help!!!

the truth of the matter is that some have em and some dont. but by the looks of it you are missing yours. the way it works is that there is nothing covering anything behind ur firewall or everything is covered... looks like stuff is covered in some places and not in others on ur car. the covers are just superficial though and there is nothing to worry about if something is missing.

By the looks of it - it really seems like there should be something there. I'd suspect that water could drain right into the area but, then, I'm a total newbie...
