Mod question & turbo upgrade?
Currently have an APR stage 1 plus. Planningto upgrad the snub and exhaust this spring.
Regarding a turbo upgrade not sure if I'll upgrade to a k04 when my k03 dies or a larger turbo at some point down the road.
If I purchase and install the k04, then bring the car to the APR dealer where I purchased the stage 1, will I have to pay to have the software upgraded?
Otherwise, does it make sense to go with a turbo larger than the k04 once the car is between 80 & 100,000 miles?

I would personally go bigger because your going to have to change the software again anyway. Only diff is you will have to change the exaust manifold as well, but even with a K04 its recomended to do it anyway.
K04 and K03S are not that much diffrent (like 30-35HP) and my K03S is maxed out and im still wanting way more. You will probably be the same.
Theres a kit on Renn-Art which has everything u need for 3300 bucks. Plus Ball Bearing turbos are better in every way.

didn't see you were already running PC-16 - I guess you can say you are maxed out. on that turbo

i would agree that you should go with a giac chip so you can see more gains, especially if your getting a k04. It really is up to you what size turbo you should get considering if its a daily driver car or not.
well you could go with a K04 and then want to upgrade again later lol but that wouldnt be as bad cuzyou can run a modded k04 file on a Bt set up and actaully run really really well.... I think you should go for a 2871

heck for 3300 or close to it you could have the renn-art kit and be set
