If thats the case why go larger than a K04. If your not racing the car, why even go with a GT series? Just so you can say you have a GT series? Makes zero sense to me. Do the practical considering you did say this car is a Daily Driver.

Thanks! Think I'm going with the exhaust & snub for now, then will look in to turbos next year. Car is a daily driver so the ideal package for mewould be 300 HP 300 Torque. Problem is that there is a large gag between stage 1 plus and stage 3 plus performance and price-wise.

cuz it kinda depends on if hes talking CHP or WHP, to get that WHP he will need a GT

Yes, and to our avail he didnt specify that. On the other hand, a GT series requires much more attention than a K04. Slap it on and go, modify if you get the bug, but as you know everything will run stock with that turbo. GT is going to require a FMIC, another thing you know, FMICs blow pipes all the time and that can be a problem as well. Id say yeah if hes good with turbo builds and knows how to work on them, go for the GT, knowing your going to need Snap-ons help here and there. When he said DD, automatically, Id go for the K04.

Thanks for the input.

I will do the exhaust for now, see how different the car is, and take it from there. I know that the K04 would round out my current set up (broader usable range of power) without tremendous gains and still retain that stock appearance when at the dealer. My concern is the price/performance ratio, not much of a gain for the money spent especially over what I currently have.

Beyond what mileage would you guys advise against a turbo upgrade?

I've heard that the stock clutch is only good for about 300 tq. Is this true and if I went for a big turbo how long should I expect the stock clutch to last after the upgrade?
