who is talking about the B6 this guy has a 2001 just like yourself yea man get the K04 kit with a few add on's u will be very happy

ORIGINAL: audihere

well not being a fan of the ugly *** b6 i thought they had a 3.0t guess not. i dont pay any attention at all to them...obvioulsy...and neither do that many tuners yet. that car is a boat on wheels. ya sure they have chips but they have been out for years now and yet have the 'same' engine but yet not the same upgrades as us. im guessin ecu issues...im a ******** as to u 2 are asses urselves....well i still say get a gt series turbo for that boat of a car...bc that k04 isnt gonna carry it any unless the weight isnt different bc the b5 is heavy enough as thats my new enemy right now.

Thanks for your responses. I think I am going to go with the 218hp mods and see how it is and if i need more, go with K04. The 218 mods seem simple and the K04 route seems that you need to work at dialing it in...from what I read.

The reason I say that there is some work to do is because I read a webpage, http://www.geocities.com/sickgti/turbo/ which says he had a few problems. Maybe it is isolated to the manufacturer software he used.
If I were to purchase APR ECU, exhaust, DV, airfilter and bolt on the K04 I should be done? Or do I have to buy other software or something else that makes the K04 work correctly? Is adding the K04 to the mix as easy as you are making it sound or does the equation get unstable from adding it? If it is as easy as just bolting it on and being done with it then it sounds like something that I would consider. I am looking for reliability too.
Thanks.
Michael

allz u need is a k04 chip and a k04-15 turbo and gaskets and thats it...its like they say its a night and day diff with this setup. ull be so much happier doin this than just chippin it. u can just buy an apr chip for it (im guess ur talkin about the k03 program) and put the k04 on but ur not goin to see any gains until u upgrade to k04 software. like i have the giac k04 software which ill sell ya bc i want to get a custom tune....let me know if u become interested
