When my moonroof is angled up it rattles constantly over bumps. Ive shaken it, looked for flaws and everything seems to good, as soon as I close the moonroof the rattle stops. Its an 03 A4 with 80 Kms. Any ideas guys? Ah and b4 anyone thinks they are witty and says just keep it closed, thanks but no thanks.

Sounds like you have a screw loose in the rails somewhere. I had an aftermarket sunroof in my old car, and one of the rails kept coming loose. Where is the sound coming from? The sunroof itself, or is it further back above the backseat maplights?

 

Thanks for the suggestion but i dont think its a loose screw. Ive looked around but i cant exactly pin point the source of the rattle. Its driving me up the wall.
